Completed at least three full academic years of middle and high school, including one full academic year of high school at a foreign school (all interdisciplinary semesters during that period), and both you and your parents have met the required period of study, residence, and employment abroad.

- For foreigners, the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) administered by the National Institute for International Education must be at least intermediate (level 3) or higher, or you must have completed the advanced (level 5) course of the Korean language course at the Korea International Cooperation Center, or you must pass a HKNU Korean language test (equivalent to TOPIK level 3).
- Applicants to the School of Global Creativity and Human Resources must have obtained a Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) level 2 or higher (however, TOPIK level 2 holders must complete 400 hours of Korean language courses within one year of admission), or have completed the intermediate (level 3) course of the Korean language course of the Korea International Cooperation Agency, or have passed the HKNU Korean language test.
- Stateless persons, dual citizens of Korea, and persons who have obtained foreign citizenship as Koreans are not recognized as foreigners.
- Students admitted as foreigners must pass the Korean Language Proficiency Test intermediate (level 4) or higher before graduation.
